Oh hello again! it is Saturday night… a perfect time to write a post! This is what all the cool kids are doing on Saturday nights…RIGHT?! Right. Good.

It is the one-week-iversary of me taking Gold in Barrie at the Songwriters Showcase! (I’m just kidding, I will only celebrate the Monthiversary<3)&&when Jenifer Ives-coordinator of the event-  said my name I almost messed it all up..”uhm. oh. ah are you sure? Do the judges maybe want to go back and think about it a little longer?…its not a typo?” thank goodness I just said these things in my head!  There were so many musicians who intimidated the heck out of me there, so I was very surprised. I want to give a super HUGE shout-out to my peeps THANKYOU to my  family that came to support me, also to my mom for shouting in my ear over the phone & also to everyone’s facebook comments. Your enthusiasm is soooooo much appreciated! You guys are the BEST! *Big hugs**

Twas another fantastic weekend filled with great music and people and I look forward to the next one! I’ll keep you posted

Hello there! Its friggen cold today, right??? SO I just got back from one of the most inspiring weekends of the year and I figure I should start blogging and sharing my journeys with cyberspace .

Heres what it is: Errrrrybody in the Canadian(world)-folk music biz(musicians, producers, presenters,  listeners..) gathers in a high-end classy hotel where the WHOLE weekend is filled with magic & wisdom & art & opportunity & hugs &&even more kickass things! Theres no time for sleep! …I still havent slept. We get up early and stay up till 4 in the morn listening/sharing music. This year I was a part of the youth mentorship program and was paired up with Katherine Wheatley (http://www.katherinewheatley.com/). It could not have been any more perfect. I learned so much, met new friends, reconnected with old ones and came away with a whole new set of tools I needed!
